Our Process

SEED is a full service architecture practice, meaning that we provide our clients services from the start to finish, and beyond. We customise our projects for the needs of each client, because clients are individuals and have individual needs. We have found that some clients get excited and motivated by participating in workshops to discuss designs and give feedback, while others simply do not have that time and prefer shorter engagements for them to provide that much needed feedback. Some prefer written reports, while others prefer presentations, or even a combination of both. We are happy to work the way you want, so long as it doesn’t compromise our integrity or reduce the potential for the final scheme. After all, this is your project and your home. And of course we will

  • Listen to you
  • Advise you
  • Incorporate your feedback
  • Guide you through the whole process
  • Deal with the consultants that will be needed
  • Guide the scheme through regulatory approval; (DA, CDC)
  • Advise you on how best to engage a builder
  • Be your eyes, ears and trusted advisor during construction
  • Keep you informed every step of the way
  • Ensure your finished home exceeds your expectations
  • And much more……..

Let’s get started

Where we do differ is on initial engagement, how we get to the point of starting a project and the following is how SEED works

1. Meet and Greet – Let’s get together to discuss your project so we can answer any questions you have and find out if we are a good fit for each other. There’s no cost to you and all we ask is that you first complete our enquiry form, so that we undertake a little preparation in order for all to gain the most benefit from our meeting. After this meeting, we can progress with either of the following

2.a) Proposal -If you are ready, we can produce a proposal tailored to your needs that outlines our services, how we will work with you and what we will charge you at each stage of the project

or

  1. b) Project Workshop – As an intermediate step, we will spend a couple of hours taking a deep dive into your aspirations for your home and what you hope the project will achieve for you, now and in the future. We will research the planning rules for your local council, visit the site and give you honest advice regarding the planning regulations as they apply to your project, discuss the potential for your project and realistic budgets. We undertake this for $865, which includes a tailored project proposal detailing the brief, timeline, budget, services offered, how we will work with you and fee options. This foundational step is designed to give you clarity and confidence moving forwards.

Once you are happy with the proposal and the way we will work together, the fun can begin.
